Position Title: Municipal Planner-II AF  

Position Summary

The Municipal Planner-II performs a variety of professional level work involving technical research and analysis on planning issues and initiatives and reporting of social, economic and engineering data for use in current and long-range planning; and provides information and assistance on planning related matters to the public and other department staff.  

A Planner-II is differentiated from a Planner-I by the assignment of professional level planning duties of moderate difficulty. 

Education, Training and Experience – minimum required to proficiently perform the job

Education / higher education: Bachelor’s Degree 

For required college degrees, applicable field(s) of study: Geography,   Architecture, Civil Engineering, Landscape Architecture, Business or Public   administration or Transportation, Urban or Regional Planning or Design or   related field. 

Minimum number of years of directly related experience: Two years of municipal planning experience. In lieu of a degree incumbent must possess 6 years of relevant experience.

Driver’s License requirement: Frequent Driver — Regular Driver’s License      Required Endorsements: None
