The Director of the Development Services Department is responsible for managing the municipal planning and land development process for the City utilizing the total resources and assets of the department, and to ensure quality customer service and improve the quality of life in the community. The Department is comprised of the following divisions: Building, Engineering, Code Enforcement, and Planning and Zoning.  Minimum number of years of directly related experience: Seven years directly related experience in municipal planning, zoning, land use management, general building and construction, or code enforcement, three years of which have been in a supervisory capacity. A combination of advanced education in a related field and/or experience as a high-level department manager in any field may substitute for up to two years of directly related experience.
